Rainbow Bridge, as an album, was never released on compact disc. However, all of the original Reprise mix masters from the original Rainbow Bridge album have been issued on subsequent compilations.
1) "Dolly Dagger", "Earth Blues", "Room Full Of Mirrors", and "Hey Baby (New Rising Sun)" are on the 1997 First Rays of the New Rising Sun album.
2) "Pali Gap" and "Look Over Yonder" are on the 1997 South Saturn Delta album.
3) "Star Spangled Banner" [Studio Version] is on the 2000 The Jimi Hendrix Experience (Box set).
4) "Hear My Train A Comin'" [Live], with a slightly truncated end applause fade, is on on the 2001 Voodoo Child: The Jimi Hendrix Collection album.
And those 8 tracks from those 4 CDs are exactly what you get here!
There are excellent vinyl rips of this album available which, with this collection, will give you the best of both worlds. I've compared the fades on the CD and LP versions of "Hear My Train A-Comin'. While there *is* a noticeable difference between the two, it's trivial. Personally, I believe the LP version fades too slowly while the CD version fades too soon. In that sense, both are less than ideal.
