Notes

1.Live at the Starclub in Hamburg, Germany 1962 (Lingasong)
a fan-created needledrop of the original European (not US) release. A job well-done, however, source vinyl seems not to be quite pristine, and a couple steps below a DESS/Mirror Spock/etc needledrop.

2.Live! at the Star Club in Hamburg, Germany, 1962 (Batz)
Much favored by many collectors for its completeness. To my ears, a step below.

3.Live At The Star Club 1962 (Sony 1991) (2 cds)
Sony's short-lived legit release

3.Live! at the Star Club in Hamburg, Germany, 1962 (lingasong CD)
Lingasong reissued in 1991, remastered, again only shortly available.

5.Mach Shau (Upgrade)
Supposedly complete set from December 25, BZ disagrees - note that these tracks are not available openly as anything but mp3-sourced. Note that these are a (relatively) unedited, unprocessed source.

6.Star Club (Secret Trax)
Told to me by a collector that this is the best release - Secret Trax allegedly went to the effort of compiling the best sources. Special note - Lingasong releases are in fake stereo with added reverb. This release has neither.

7.The Beatles Vs The Third Reich
Originally a vinyl release, copy of Mach Shau, but not mp3-sourced here - I don't believe this exists as anything but a needledrop done at some unknown time and circulated as a CDR. Note that these are a (relatively) unedited, unprocessed source.

8.Road Runner (Positone)
second verse of "Where have you been" that is missing on most versions available. Note that this is Positone label, not issue as listed on BZ. No idea how it compares, however, track listings etc are identical.

9.The Star Club Shows (Silent sea homemade)
I have NO idea where this comes from - it has the same tracklisting as Secret Trax, is not listed on BZ, but is definitely Silent Sea

10. Can you Hear Me (JFC)
contains longest version of "Red Hot" - also has snippets of 3 other songs - all taken from Anthology "Director's Cut"

11.Way Beyond Compare Episodes 1-14
John Winn's podcasts I take as being the best authority for completeness and best sources. Please note that these are NOT from the podcasts, but a reconstruction done by Black Cockatoo. Sources are listed in the artwork, and may or may not be the same as Winn's. As per John Winn, he has no connection with this set. Includes all tracks from Mach Shau, still mp3-sourced.

12. Pumpkino Version - compilation made from best sources as per Sulpy, Winn, Getback69, Black Cockatoo, Stephsbear

vinyl to the core (included as was used as source for Way Beyond Compare)
Anthropology (included as was used as source for Way Beyond Compare)

Not included:

1st Live recordings vol 1 & 2 (LP) (Pickwick)
as per liner notes the original Lingasong mixes were "altered....to allow the vocals more prominence in the final mix." No other source has indicated that this is the case.

Live at the Starclub in Hamburg, Germany 1962 (Bellaphon)(US 2LP)

There is also an Audifon 2 LP release that seems to be identical to the Lingasong, but may be the same as Pickwick.
