THE ROCK AND ROLL CIRCUS
Remastered Edition
RMW 792
32-bit declicked, denoised, pitch, phase and levels corrected at Remasters Workshop November 2011
This album is a copy of "The Rock And Roll Circus" on Phonygraf / Wizardo (number undocumented), made in Germany and issued on Barking Moose RRC-101. Year of issue is also undocumented. There is evidence of another pressing with a blank, orange label, one alternate pressing with the track order changed, and one further alternate pressing that is said to have an intro and outro as the first and last tracks.
The only Rock And Roll Circus tracks here are Yer Blues / Her Blues (featuring Ivry Gitlis on fiddle) and A Quick One While He's Away. The Led Zeppelin track is from the BBC, the Cream tracks were unreleased, and the Buffalo Springfield items are from a bootleg containing tracks from their unreleased 1967 album, Stampede, including a demo acetate of a track performed solo by Stephen Stills.
This was about the most out-of-phase recording I have ever encountered. No wonder its contents are listed in several places as stereo. The left channel was all bass, no treble, and the right channel was all treble, no bass. All are restored to true mono.
ffp file and artwork are included.
Please preserve the lossless quality of this material.
