Furious Prelude contains most of the Who's Fillmore East concert from April 5, 1968. The quartet was at something of a peak at the time, tearing through Who Sell Out material and early hits, all delivered with bracing force. Furious Prelude is one of the better boots of this show, featuring a good selection of songs and terrific sound. Although "A Quick One" has been excised, it's been replaced by "Summertime Blues" and "My Generation," while such highlights as "Tattoo," "Little Billy," "I Can't Explain," "Relax," "My Generation" and "Shakin' All Over" remain. This, or one of the other Fillmore East boots, is worth seeking out for hardcore Who fans.
