This is the original motion picture soundtrack to the British comic film, The Magic Christian, starring Peter Sellers and Ringo Starr and directed by Joseph McGrath. The score by Ken Thorne (who also did Help!) consists mostly of incidental music played under scenes in the movie and included here with dialogue, such as bump-and-grind music played along with a moment in the film in which Laurence Harvey plays the "To be or not to be" soliloquy in Hamlet as a strip routine. Also included, Sellers singing Noel Coward's "Mad About The Boy," the ubiquitous "Something In The Air," by Thunderclap Newman (which seemed to be in just about every counterculture movie made in the early '70s) and three numbers by Beatles proteges Badfinger including their debut hit, "Come And Get It," although the haunting "Carry On To Tomorrow" is also notable.
