Singing Cowboy

Sadly, the taper missed the first three songs entirely and part of "Live and Let Live." This is a muscular performance, and a fun one from Arthur, who was, on this date, celebrating his 9 month anniversary out of the slammer after serving 5 1/2 years of a 12 year sentence (reversed on appeal) for a 3rd strike conviction.

Arthur sings the first couple of lines of "Ain't too proud to beg" acappella before Rusty cuts him off to start "She Comes In Colors." It's kind of a shame, sounds like it could have been good. Arthur gets off one of his funny one-liners during the song regarding the 'she' who comes in colors: "Her name is Michael Jackson!"

Anyway, Arthur Lee RIP, he was truly one of the originals.

Warmest Regards Always,

The New Guy
