Side 1 contains the original recordings for songs that were later re-recorded and appeared on the first two STARZ LP's. These earlier versions have different arrangements, instrumentation, and in some cases, lyrics. "Do It With The Lights On" and "Fallen Angel" were both recorded with keyboardist, Larry Gonsky, as "THE FALLEN ANGELS". A few weeks later Larry left, the name was changed to "STARZ", and the first 3 songs were recorded. All songs were recorded at Record Plant Studios.

Side 2 was recorded as part of a STARZ demo after the Capitol Records deal. After taking some time off, the band regrouped with Brenden Harkin, Dube, and Orville Davis on bass. A few months passed and the personnel evolved to the above lineup, who later recorded and released the "HELLCATS" record on Atlantic. Two songs, "Dreamin' My Life Away" and "Miss U Tonite" were actually recorded live at the Record Plant on a 2-track recorder. The other songs were recorded on a Teac Porta-Studio 4-track cassette deck.
