The last of the Ray Davies solo projects this time around, maybe I will return to his solo works later, but the next one is going to be with The Kinks.
This was originally uploaded to easytree/DIME by ckocher on Jan 5, 2005.
I, like a lot of others users, had no idea it even existed, and I was blown away by the quality of the material on it.
As one of those who commented on it when it was re-seeded on december 24th 2006 on DIME:
"THIS IS GREAT STUFF!!! BETTER THAN SOME OF THE KINKS/DAVIES OFFICIAL RELEASES. SOME OF THESE TUNES WILL BE BURNED IN YOUR BRAIN FOR WEEKS"
I REALLY LOVE THIS ONE, more so than any other I have and will upload here. It surely is "A MUST HAVE" if you don't have it already.

I have fixed a problem some had decoding track 13. The rest is as it has always been.

"80 Days" demos

"80 Days" was a musical based on the Jules Verne novel "Around the World in 80 Days" that played at San Diego's La Jolla Playhouse in 1988. Ray wrote the songs for the show - and they are quite good. You can read more about the show here:

This torrent includes good-quality demos of the "80 Days" songs, all of them
sung by Ray so that the cast could hear what they were supposed to sound like.
Don't be put off by the idea of "demos," though - the arrangements are
surprisingly sophisticated and include sound effects, etc.

Also included is the artwork I got with the CD.
