First of all, I'm VERY SORRY for wasting your download time on the 1st torrent.

After torrenting the previous version (2% speed reduction of FBO Tree version),
I got a comment indicating it still may be too fast. Turns out it is. This
version I promise is completely correct. It is 3.3% slower than the original
FBO tree version.

The correct speed has been determined using a Boss TU-12H chromatic tuner to
verify certain notes throught the show. For example, I used the open G and D
string notes on the intro to OTHAFA. Also, notes at the beginning of Stairway have
been used. Other songs verified include Black Dog, Dazed and Confused,
Heartbreaker, and Whole Lotta Love. Adobe audition was used to select the
particuler note, then copy it multiple times to make a much longer note which
the chromatic tuner could determine accurately. Luckily, it turns out the
speed of this recording is very consistent so a single correction can be used
for the entire show.

After using the above method to get the correct speed, a sanity check was done
by comparing it very closely to "The Song Remains The Same" soundtrack. The
notes are now exact.

Index points have been moved to the beginning of each song with the exceptions
of the 1st track of both Disc 1 and Disc 2.

Sorry again for making an incorrect first torrent.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Changes from the original FBO version which were also in the previous speed
corrected torrent:

Cleaned up residual clicks and zero padding near track index boundaries. These
were probably created by burning to CDR before fixing SBE problems.

The index point between The Rain Song and Dazed and Confused was moved to a
more appropriate point (forward in time). All Plantations regarding The
Rain Song are part that track, same now with Dazed and Confused. This was
done because this is the transition point between Disc 1 and Disc 2 for a 2
disc burn.

Verified that the entire show runs continuous. The downloader can break up the
show at any track, or not at all, and there will be no index transition clicks
or pops.

Here's a listing of what I have done.

- Decoded original FLACs to WAVs.
- Used Adobe Audition 1.5 to remove some small clicks and zero padding near
index boundaries.
- Used Adobe Audition 1.5 resampler in high precision mode to create new
speed corrected WAVs. A single run of the resampling was done over the
entire show to avoid resampler filter discontinuities on track index
points.
- Moved track index points
- Used Shntool with file grouping for entire show to fix SBEs created by
resampling and index point modification.
- Used Shntool to verify no SBEs.
- Burned and listened to new speed corrected, SBE free, index click free,
WAVs. Verified clean.
- Encoded to FLAC

This is a great recording of a fantastic show. The power of Bonzo's bass
drum comes through so well. Plant's voice is very good and powerful. This
is the best 73 audience source and in my opinion, better than any of the
73 soundboards. Enjoy!!!

This is one of my favorite shows from the 1973 U.S. Tour

This is a great sounding audience tape - goes well with the SBD.

Thanks to Pmonk66.

slumpy's notes:

Between D1t7 and D3t1 there were obvious overlaps and mysterious 2-second
gaps, which I cleaned up using Cool Edit Pro. The gap between Moby Dick
and the beginning of Heartbreaker must be a tape cut.

Realligned on Sector Boundaries.
SHNTool files enclosed.

Thanks to pmonk, slumpy and Jim Mitchell. Pmonk for sharing and slumpy for offering an initial cleaned up source and finally Jim for working on it (twice!) and offering an even better version.
