While this recording is a little murky - the sound is muddy, and quite hiss laden -
it does seem to have stereo seperation, at least at first, albeit in primitive form.
Space Oddity in particular, and later in the concert Young Americans through to
It's Gonna Be Me, while I've heard this in better quality from this portion of the tour, sounds quite fine really.
Unfortunately the quality dips after a while...and progressively gets worse. It rises
- almost rollercoaster-like, or indeed Phoenix-like - again for Young Americans and the other new numbers - don't ask me how, to my knowledge this is how the concert was
recorded on the night.
I will be putting a re-worked version on another site. In the meantime this is a version pretty much (bar the speed being increased by 7%) as is, for those who like a 'raw' version of a concert and might want to do their own tinkering with it.
I should point out that the re-working I have been doing on this - for a seperate
torrent elsewhere - shows there's a fine performance underneath all this, it would
be interesting what someone with access to and understanding of more advanced software
(more advanced than Audacity) could do with it.
