Notes
A five-disc series of supremely rare, trashy rockabilly and '60s garage punk, Born Bad showcases some of the wildest and most bizarre records ever recorded. A couple of artists and songs are familiar, most notably Little Willie John, Dale Hawkins, Wanda Jackson, Tommy James & the Shondells, and Charlie Feathers, but the bulk of the series is devoted to "Chop Suey Rock," "Bop Pills," and "Hot Lips Baby," which are what great rock & roll is made of. The first volume is the best starting place, but don't miss Volume Four, which includes the Mad Magazine flexi-disc "It's A Gas."
