Spirit : The Lostbrook Tape Series - Volume 31

This is an important tape in Lost Brook history.
Three weeks prior to this show, I recorded my first
concert, and the results were so horrific that I
could have stopped and never recorded another note.
This tape proved that I could get good results and
it gave me the motivation to continue. It’s possible
that the first tape was made with an inferior unit and
that this is the inaugural appearance of the Sanyo M2533.
You can easily tell that we were rookies by our uncertainty
over when to flip the tape. At times, it even appears that
my brother Gary had primary taping duties. We somehow managed
to capture the entire concert, and by doing so, may have preserved
a small piece of Spirit history that was considered lost. Bpthree
informs me that the only known tape of this performance is missing
the first four songs. Join us for the complete show at My Father’s
