Notes

Sound Quality: A good/fair audience recording with a brief glitch in 'Roadrunner' being the only missing piece. Early on, a trace of a later part of the same show can be heard bleeding through if you listen carefully (no doubt the result of someone's sub-par equipment), but it doesn't last too long.

Song List: Can't Explain, Substitute, My Wife, Baba O'Riley, Squeeze Box, Behind Blue Eyes, Dreaming From the Waist, Slip Kid, Magic Bus, Amazing Journey, Sparks, The Acid Queen, Fiddle About, Pinball Wizard, I'm Free, Tommy's Holiday Camp, We're Not Gonna Take It, Summertime Blues, My Generation, Join Together, Roadrunner (slightly cut), Won't Get Fooled Again.

Details: Another show from the short series of warm-up dates the band played in Europe before the first North American tour of the year. Townshend announces that it's Daltrey' birthday, saying he's "Fifty-nine," and Daltrey responds by missing the cue in 'Baba O'Riley'. Later Moon thanks the people of Paris for voting him "the best drummer in the world" for the ninth straight year, saying "You've got taste!" This version of 'Slip Kid' may be the best of the eight they did—great guitar from Townshend and the vocal harmonies are also well-done. A power failure after 'I'm Free' stops the show briefly, and Daltrey mentions that the same thing's happened in their last three appearances in Paris. The last part of the show includes the usual numbers played in this era, including 'Roadrunner'.
