Tracks 1-3: studio master tape

These three songs come from the mid-nineties period prior to the creation of The Mescaleros. They are in a techno style, but with Strummer's rock edge underlying them. War Cry and 15th Brigade are instrumentals. Yalla Yalla is an earlier version of the song which became the centerpiece of the first Mesacleros album and early Mescaleros shows.

Tracks 4-11: studio master tape

The completed form of the soundtrack album to the film Permanent Record, as Joe intended it to be. Left off are the five songs which made it to the official soundtrack album, along with other artists (Trash City, Baby the Trans, Nefertiti Rock, Nothin' 'bout Nothin', Theme from Permanent Record). These are recorded with Latino Rockabilly War. Louisiana Turnpike has a female vocal, Cholo Vest a Strummer vocal, and the rest mostly rocked up instrumentals.
