Take 5
5 Jul 1968
Early stage of Take 5.
There are 3 variations of this recording: this one is from 1968 before a lot of of overdubs. The second is the SESSIONS mix from 1984, which segues into XMAS TIME IS HERE AGAIN. A third has been fabricated by a bootlegger who edited the cold ending of this take onto the end of the SESSIONS mix to avoid the segue and make it seem like this take ended cold. Naughty but nice.

Unedit mix.
Sourced from "Unsurpassed Masters Vol. 7" where they used a dub of the master tape, but it is faded in after the playing has started, and the tape stops just before George says "Let's hear that back!". The only place to hear that is on the "Abbey Road Show 1983" bootlegs.
This is the same take as on "Anth3", but not the same mix.
