disc 1. Here are the liner notes:

Help Sessions - Disc 1

February 15, 1965 - Studio 2, 2:30-5:45pm

1. Ticket to Ride - Take 2
The basic take consisted of Bass and Drums on Track 1 and Guitars on
Track 2. Taken from the Help TOUP isolations with the full ending
edited on from one of the boots.
2. Ticket to Ride - Take 2
Also, part of the basic take were John's Lead Vocal and Paul's Harmony
Vocal on Track 3. From the Help 5.1 DVD Center Channel, with the lead
guitar overdub removed as much as possible.
3. Ticket to Ride - SI onto Take 2
Track 4, the only overdub, consisted of Ringo on Tambourine, George on
Fender Guitar, Paul on Lead Guitar for the ends of the middle 8ths as
well as the fadeout, handclaps, and John doubling his vocal for the
chorus and fadeout. Isolated from the Help 5.1 DVD with the ending
edited on from one of the boots.

February 15, 1965 - Studio 2, 7:00-10:30pm

4. Another Girl - Take 1
Bass and Drums, isolated from the Help 5.1 DVD, with some unfortunate
leakage of vocals.
5. Another Girl - SI(?) onto Take 1
Paul's first lead vocal backed by John and George, isolated from the
Help 5.1 DVD.
6. Another Girl - SI onto Take 1
Paul's 2nd lead vocal backed by John and George again and Ringo's Tom
Tom overdub, isolated from the 87 remix CD.
7. I Need You - Take 5
The basic take which consisted of Acoustic Guitar, Bass, Drums which
were actually played by John, while Ringo hit the back of the acoustic
guitar. Recorded to Track 1 of the multitrack and isolated from the
Help 5.1 DVD. George sang a guide vocal to Track 2, which was later wiped.
8. I Need You - SI onto Take 5
George's first vocal overdub, backed by Paul for the end of each
verse. From the Help 5.1 DVD Center Channel
I Need You - SI onto Take 5
George's 2nd vocal overdub, backed by Paul again, with Ringo on
Cowbell. This track was wiped, thus there is no audio to represent it.

February 16, 1965 - Studio 2, 2:30-5:00pm

9. I Need You - SI onto Take 5
A New 2nd vocal, wiping the previous vocal. Isolated from the Help 5.1
DVD.
10. I Need You - SI onto Take 5
Overdub of George's Tone Pedal Guitar, John and Paul doubling their
harmonies, and Ringo on Tambourine. This track wiped George's Guide Vocal
11. Another Girl - SI onto Take 1
Paul's Lead Guitar. This isolation also includes John and George's
guitars as well, which creates an issue. According to Lewisohn they
were recorded the previous day, with the bass and drums, but there are
already three other tracks (1 bass/drums, 2 vocal tracks.) The most
likely explanation is that when Paul overdubbed his lead guitar, John
and George redid their guitar parts. Otherwise we'd here leakage of
the bass/drums here, which we don't.

February 16, 1965 - Studio 2, 5:00-7:00pm

12. Yes It Is - Take 1
Takes 1-9 of Yes it Is consisted of Bass and Drums on Track 1,
George's Pedal Guitar on Track 2, and John's Acoustic Guitar and Guide
Vocal to Track 3.
13. Yes It Is - Take 2
This take broke down in laughing.
14. Yes It Is - Take 3
15. Yes It Is - Take 4
16. Yes It Is - Take 5
17. Yes It Is - Take 6
18. Yes It Is - Take 7
19. Yes It Is - Take 8
20. Yes It Is - Take 9
The 2nd Complete Take
21. Yes It Is - Take 10
22. Yes It Is - Take 11
23. Yes It Is - Take 14
From The TOUP Past Masters Left & Right Isolations. The Basic take
consisted of Bass, Drums, and Acoustic Guitar to Track 1, and Tone
Pedal Guitar on Track 2. The vocals heard here were overdubbed later.
The intro is edited on from one of the boots

February 16, 1965 - Studio 2, 7:00-10:00pm

24. Yes It Is - SI onto Take 14
This track, from the TOUP Past Masters center isolation, is comprised
of two overdubs. The 1st overdub featured John, Paul, and George
singing their three part vocal harmonies. The 2nd overdub featured
Ringo on Cymbals, Paul on Organ, George's 2nd Tone Pedal Guitar, and
John doubling his middle 8th vocal. The intro is edited on from one of
the boots.

February 17, 1965 - Studio 2, 2:00-7:00pm

25. The Night Before - Take 2
The basic take consisted of John on Electric Piano. From the TOUP Help
Left and Right Isolations.
26. The Night Before - SI onto Take 2
Paul's First Lead Vocal overdub with John and George on Backing
Vocals. Both twin lead guitars are heard here, indicating that they
might have both been recorded to this track. The maracas are also
heard here (see below.) From the Help 5.1 DVD center channel, re
edited, due to it's interruption in the film. This track is slightly
incomplete as it's source was.
27. The Night Before - SI onto Take 2
Paul's Second Lead Vocal overdub. The maracas can be heard on both
vocal isolations, so it's unclear which vocal track it's on, although
they were probably recorded to this track, since this vocal can be
heard faintly during the middle 8th's (when the maracas appear) on the
previous track. Sourced from the Help 5.1 DVD, and like the previous
track it is slightly incomplete.

February 17, 1965 - Studio 2, 7:00-11:00pm

28. You Like Me Too Much - Take 8
The Basic Take consisted of Bass, Drums, Acoustic Guitar, and
Tambourine as well as Piano in the intro, most likely played by George
Martin. From the TOUP Help Left Channel Isolation
29. You Like Me Too Much - SI onto Take 8
Overdub of George's double tracked vocals, one of which Paul sings
harmony vocals on. This mix has the two vocals separated in stereo, as
best as could be from the original mix.
30. You Like Me Too Much - SI onto Take 8
Overdub of Steinway Piano played by George Martin and Paul, Electric
Piano by John, and Lead Guitar by George.

February 18, 1965 - Studio 2, 10:00am-1:00pm

Help Sessions - Disc 2

February 18, 1965 - Studio 2, 3:30-5:15pm

1. You've Got to Hide Your Love Away - Take 1
Just false start and pre song chatter.
2. You've Got to Hide Your Love Away - Take 5
The first complete take of the song, which consisted of most of the
instrumental backing on one track and John's vocal and a guitar
(probably his) on another track. This track is presented in a stereo
mix, created using the Anthology DVD 5.1 channels.
3. You've Got to Hide Your Love Away - Take 9
The basic take consisted of Ringo on brushes, John and George on
acoustic guitars, and Paul on bass. From the TOUP Help left channel
isolation.
4. You've Got to Hide Your Love Away - SI onto Take 9
Overdub of John's vocal and Alto Flute for the end of the song.
Isolated from the Anthology 5.1 DVD.
5. You've Got to Hide Your Love Away - SI onto Take 9
From the Anthology 5.1 DVD overdub of maracas, tambourine, and another
acoustic guitar.
6. You've Got to Hide Your Love Away - SI onto Take 9
The Tenor Flute is on the final track, and just like the previous two
tracks it was isolated from the Anthology 5.1 DVD. In The Beatles
Recording Sessions a quote said by Johnnie Scott, the flute player
quotes that to fulfill The Beatles needs was to play both Tenor and
Alto Flute, the latter as an overdub. This would make it seem like the
Tenor Flute was played live. This could be possible, but seems
unlikely that The Beatles, would have session musicians play on the
basic take. In any event it was probably recorded before The Alto
Flute, since it can be faintly heard on the Alto Flute isolation.

February 18, 1965 - Studio 2, 5:15-6:00pm

7. The Night Before - RM1
8. You Like Me Too Much - RM1
Mono mixes of the above two tracks

February 18, 1965 - Studio 2, 6:00-10:30pm

9. If You Got Troubles - Take 1
The basic take, isolated from mid left of the Anthology 2 stereo mix.
The reverb added makes it difficult to remove the vocals.
10. If You Got Troubles - SI onto Take 1
Ringo's first lead vocal overdub, isolated from the Anthology 5.1 DVD.
11. If You Got Troubles - SI onto Take 1
Overdub of three guitars, which were Ephiphone, Gretsch, and Fender
which were played by Paul, George, and John respectively. Isolated
from The Anthology 5.1 DVD. The lead guitar solo, which was overdubbed
later, could not be removed so pretend it's not here.
12. If You Got Troubles - SI onto Take 1
Ringo's second vocal with John and Paul singing "Oh" backing vocals as
well as George's lead guitar Solo. A composite between The Anthology
DVD Right Channel isolation of the FLFR track and The Anthology DVD
Center Channel.
13. Tell Me What You See - Take 4
The basic take consisted of a Latin American percussion instrument
known as a Guerro. From the TOUP Help Left Channel Isolation
14. Tell Me What You See - SI onto Take 4
Paul and John's lead vocals, isolated from the 1987 Help Remix CD.
15. Tell Me What You See - SI onto Take 4
Overdub of claves, tambourine, and John doubling his vocal for the
ends of the verses. Both this and the vocal track were panned center
on the original stereo mix, making it seem like they were on the same
track. However, on the 1987 Remix this track is panned is slightly
right of center with the vocals still center. This track is an edit
from an isolation from 87 remix cd and the TOUP Center Channel iso,
with the instrumental breaks being sourced from the latter.
16. Tell Me What You See - SI onto Take 4
Electric Piano played by Paul, from the TOUP Right Channel

February 19, 1965 - Studio 2, 3:30-6:20pm

17. You're Going To Lose That Girl - Take 3
Isolated from the Help 5.1 DVD, the basic take consisted of bass,
drums, and one guitar. Some leakage of overdubbed backing vocals can
be heard. (Pretend it's not there.)
18. You're Going To Lose That Girl - SI onto Take 3
A Stereo Vocal Mix, created from the 1987 remix. John's lead vocal is
double tracked and was recorded to Tracks 2 & 4. The Backing Vocals
are also doubled (except for the solo), but here is what the anomaly
is. On The Help DVD on the FL Channel one of the backing vocals tracks
can be heard, but none of John's Lead Vocals. This would mean there
would have to be three vocal tracks (Lead & Backing Vocals, Lead Vocal
Double Track, Backing Vocal Double Track.) There are two other
instrumental tracks though. The most likely theory is that there was
an undocumented reduction mix, which combined the 2nd lead vocal and
2nd backing vocal track to one.
19. You're Going To Lose That Girl - SI onto Take 3
The remaining track consisted of electric piano and a lead guitar
solo, but this was wiped and replaced with acoustic piano, bongos, and
a new lead guitar solo. Here is an acetate of the mix with the
original guitar solo.

February 20, 1965 - Studio 2, 11:00am-12:00pm

20. Tell Me What You See - RM4
February 20, 1965 - Studio 2, 12:00-5:15pm
21. That Means A Lot - Take 1 & SI onto Take 1
The basic take consisted of drums, bass, and two guitars on Track 1.
On Track 2 Ringo added a Tom Tom Overdub, Paul added another Bass
part, and John added another guitar for the intro. A reduction mix was
made combining these two tracks to one. Isolated from John Barret's
Turn Me On Dead Man, but with a lot of leakage of the later overdubbed
vocals. As usual, pretend it's not there.
22. That Means A Lot - SI onto Take 2
Overdub of Paul's lead vocal to one track and John and George's
backing vocals to another track.
23. That Means A Lot - SI onto Take 2
On the final track George Martin overdubbed piano, Ringo overdubbed
maracas, John and George added more backing vocals and Paul doubled
his vocal for the 1st half of the middle 8th and for the fadeout.
24. That Means A Lot - A rehearsal segment.

February 20, 1965 - Studio 2, 5:15-6:00pm
