Notes:
Reissue of a 1978 classic
If you ever get a chance to see the animated video
of 'Routine Day' it's extremely well done. Of course
the band couldn't appear in it - they had to keep up
the marketing scam.
The cover scan was sourced externally but match this
transcribed copy.
Synopsis:
Klaatu were a band from Quebec Canada who were the
(beneficiaries?) (victims?) of a rumour current in
the late 1970's that they were really the Beatles
performing incognito. I don't know how many extra
sales this generated but I think only the weak minded
would have been fooled because the largest stretch one
could come up with was that one of the backup singers
sounded marginally like G. Harrison - otherwise it was
a pretty lame marketing attempt.
Sir army suit was their third album and the openers on
Side 1 and Side 2 (Trks 1 and 6) did get a fair bit of
play on FM radio due to CANCON regulations. (There was
the other CLUE to the silliness of Beatles rumour, the
Beatles could not have had more than 2/4 on the MAPL scale)

Comments:
Anyhow, it's a pleasant Klaatu themed expedition with
the usual subject matter.
Hope you enjoy it.
