Captain Beefheart & The Magic Band played one European show during 1977, it is said that there were about 10,000 people there (?!?!?!). Very good show with excellent versions
of Bat Chain Puller, My Human Gets Me Blues, and Grow Fins to name a few.
The whole show is pretty smokin'.

I have a few copies of this show here in the tape collection, two of them being
pretty damn good. This is the copy I liked a bit more. There is more clarity to
the drums and guitars on this tape. Don's voice also sounds real nice.
Recordings of this nature can vary in sound quality throughout any given performance and there are a few things I will mention here . . . Who ever recorded this show did a GREAT job, but they sure liked to hit the pause button on the recorder. You will hear it in
between every track. Maybe the taper was not wanting to waste tape. Maybe there
were long pauses in between songs. Who knows, that's how it is. I does not bother
me very much at all, as the music sounds great. Electricity is cut, a tape flip.
There are a couple of short "noises" during Suction Prints on
all 3 copies I have . . . not a big deal. The encore sonds a bit more harsh than
the rest of the tape. All that aside this tape actually sounds quite good.

Much thanks to the taper of this fine, fine, super fine show and
thanks to all of the folks I traded tapes with for so many years.
