Iggy Pop was pretty much maligned in the 80s ( where the bulk of this material comes
from ). Unfairly so in my humble opinion. Those that wanted the chest slashing madman
from the Stooges seldom got what they wanted ( on vinyl at least ). Often the record label
pushed songs on him to show he was an all round entertainer. Sea Of Love and One
More For My Baby (which is featured here ) are good examples of this.
So was it really that bad? Of course not. A lot of it was pure fun. So here then is a
selection of songs: bonus cuts, soundtracks, demos, promos etc that when grouped
together play like a pretty tight album . Highlights include Repo Man with Sex Pistols
Steve Jones playing some savage guitar, the hilarious self effacing Low Life , Iggy and
Deborah Harrys duet on Cole Porters Did You Evah and a wild eyed psychotic Iggy
raising hell on Mule Skinner Blues .
