This collection of 1973 studio demos includes just about everything in the Dolls' repertoire at the time (21 songs) and was recorded just prior to their entering the studio with producer Todd Rundgren to lay down their first album. While the takes aren't drastically different, they are rawer. Rundgren added a sheen to the album that just isn't here (which makes David Johansen's off-key singing and Johnny Thunders' missed guitar notes all the more obvious). A fine fan souvenir, but no replacement for the official studio work.
