Spinal Tap - All the Way to Eleven

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the classic rockumentary This Is Spinal Tap, I am delighted to upload this excellent radio documentary.

Spinal Tap - All the Way to Eleven was broadcast on BBC Radio 2 in 1997. Narrated by Bob Harris, it features interviews with Britain's loudest band, the legendary Spinal Tap.

Mark Knopfler is also interviewed and gives his thoughts on why Spinal Tap were so influential on his own musical career.

The sound quality on this one is very, very poor I'm afraid. It was transferred from a second generation cassette recording of what was originally quite a bad recording I think. I did start messing about with it and trying to make it sound better, but I wasn't satisfied with the results, so I decided just to upload the raw files. If anyone here has some good software please feel free to tidy it up then reupload it. :)

Obviously this will be of more interest to you if you are a fan of the Tap, but worth listening to for MK's contributions. They are hilarious. I can honestly say this is the funniest I have ever heard him.

Many thanks to the great Hazel Fleming who used to post on the old T-Road mailing list for making the original recording and making a copy for me.

But hey, enough of my yakkin. Wadda ya say, let's boogie!
