Source - Live at the Arena, St Louis, MO, USA 20 Nov 1974 (Publisher: Barrier)

George Harrison and friends at the St Louis Arena. This is the 16th show of the 1974 North American tour. Not the complete show, with all non-GH material missing except for two of Billy Preston's numbers. George seems very positive about the show and the reception everyne's received. The sound is average for an audience recording of the era - distant and a bit indistinct, but with a clean sound, apart from a bit of static. Perhaps there's a better-sounding transfer out there...

Bootlegzone reviews
"Good document of the St. Louis show, clocking in at 71:50. It's missing the Shankar set, Tom Cat, and Nothing from Nothing. Sound is "hollow", like an audience tape (a few generations down the line...) recorded in a BIG venue, but anyone reading this probably has these songs memorised anyway, so sound shouldn't be a problem. The performance is not that different from other shows on the tour, but since George has toured so rarely, every live performance is of value to us fans. Were the sound even "very good", I'd give this a higher rating. The performance is fine, however." Bill S., 16 Mar 2001

"My copy seems to have a few clicks here and there, anyone else have this problem with the mastering? The show is quite nice, has a slip case and decent sound for an Arena. In my opinion it doesn't seem very important to have every show from this tour, as the set was very similar from show to show. Having this single disc is a good way to know what the tour was about and his throat isn't even that terrible." Mayfield, 16 Apr 2002

"I only have to say: poor sound, only valid as document." raimon bond, 03 Jan 2003

"The Black Cat ("Playing for 70 000 Yobbos") and Green Grape ("1974-11-20") versions have "Tom Cat" and "Nothing from Nothing", missing here. On the basis of that and the sound quality, this version is not a desirable one." Aidanymous, 24 Feb 2010
