Jeff Beck Group - June 5, 1975 (AUD - REPOST - "2nd Gen, fragmented" - 41 Minutes Long) University of N.M.; Johnson Gymnasium, Albuquerque, New Mexico, U.S.A.
Not A Contrast Clause: Also in 2009 Doinker offered a "3rd Gen" version from Stratcat58's tape, but this is not from that download.
REPOST from November 2007 (not a RESEED), as this has another DAE (Digital Audio Extraction) in it.
Thanks to "The New Guy" who originally offered this. These are not those original files, but if anyone has those & wants to offer them, then I'll pull this offer.
I do not know if this version has been reoffered since the original 2007 offer that I downloaded, but I haven't seen it.
I'm always looking for uncirculated, alternate versions, upgrades, etc., of anything Jeff.
If you have any of those & can not share, please get them to someone who can do so - THX!!!
Length: 9 tracks = 40:43 minutes
Artwork: none, but there is a picture of the tape & set list.
Samples: none.
Enjoy!!!

John Langdon has been taping shows for more than twenty years, a great many of them documenting the music scene in Albuquerque in the 80s and 90s. Most of his shows are on tape cassettes, but a great many of them are on seven or ten inch reels. Over the course of time they will begin to see the light of day and be shared with music lovers everywhere. Additionally, he has further documented many of these shows with photographic images, which will be the basis for the artwork created for these shows. Thanks to John for his generosity in sharing what he's collected.
Source: 2nd Gen > TDK AD-C60 > Denon DRM-500 > Denon DRA-635R > Technics SH-GE50 > M-Audio Audiophile 2496 > Audition 1.5 > WAV > Edits (normalization, tapeflip matchup, fade-outs at ends) > CD-WAV > FLAC (> 2007 download & audio burn to CDR (Nero)> 2013 DAE using EAC (wav)> (flac) Trader's Little Helper level 6 (align on sector boundaries))
There's no maybe about it; this is definitely an incomplete show, and the way "Definitely Maybe" cuts out and then back in three tracks later is very odd...
John's Notes:
"At the time of this recording, I was not living in Albuquerque. I was in the Army, stationed in El Paso, TX. I saw the El Paso stop on this tour, and I thoroughly enjoyed the show. I moved to Albuquerque in 1979, and in the early 80s, I met ... a pharmacology student at UNM. ... we soon became friends, in part due to our shared passion for the Grateful Dead. I got this tape and a couple of others from Jerry. Jerry told me he got this from a guy who worked at UNM in Building Maintenance. In addition to building maintenance, this guy also assisted with shows at the school, setting up chairs, music stands, and other such stuff. Jerry told me that this show was recorded on a reel-to-reel deck (deck and mike types unknown). The guy made a cassette copy for Jerry, and Jerry made a copy for me. What you have is what Jerry has, warts and all. I suspect that the guy brought only one reel to the show, and that's why it's incomplete. (Although I can't explain how he got some of the Mahavishnu Orchestra set, but not all of the Jeff Beck set. The cuts may be due to the difficulty in flipping a reel."
