More goodies rescued from a failing hard drive. This is two separate entities combined. I believe the first five tracks have made the rounds under the name "The Royal Dan." Tracks 6-13 are the second disc of a 2CD set. The first disc sounds horrible. Some of it is sourced from really low-bitrate mp3 and all of it is just *smothered* in FFT noise reduction. Somebody has this material in unadulterated lossless form. Until it surfaces, we'll make do with the second disc. Because as presented, these tracks are in superb quality. 9 or 9.5 out of 10, with some audible hiss, which we elected not to remove, to preserve the integrity of the source recordings.
Nothing was done to "improve" the sound; it was of sufficient quality that it needed no more than phase correction to compensate for a slight azimuth misalignment, very small amounts of pitch correction to match a digital piano, and attenuation of less than .2 dB in one channel or the other to prevent the levels going over 0 dB.
