Transferred by gazatthebop. 1st side of the tape equalised by gaz as well.
Edited, equalised (2nd side) and uploaded by machen.
A few comments:
This one comes again from gaz's collection, so thanks very much again and again for spreading these recordings.
He equalised the first side of his tape, and you'll notice it sounds good, in spite of being quite hissy.Side 2 is an altogether different story. He told me the sound was completely different from side 1. That's
true, except for Streets Of Laredo. It is at the beginning of his 2nd side, but it cuts off. Heartbreak Hotel cuts in, so my guess is that whoever recorded this one, that person changed tapes right there. And
I say changed tapes because the sound is quite worse after that, it seems to have been recorded on a lower quality cassette than the first half of the concert. I've done my best to make side 2 listenable, and
to my ears it's much better now. I also worked by adjusting via equalisation. Appart from that, I applied some limitation to the crowd/clapping, but not to the music. The final results for Heartbreak Hotel
and Close Watch are worse, these being the quietest pieces.
I've tried the final files in my system at home, as well as in my car stereo, and a slight bass boost wouldn't do this any harm, but I leave that final adjustment up to you.
I'm uploading a few samples for you to check first.
