Recorded by Allen Tarzwell with Mike Martin on lookout (my first involvement with a live concert recording).
Source:
Sony TC-50 w/ single handheld microphone > TDK - Audia C90 cassette tape (no Dolby)
Transfer of master:
Nakamichi CR3A > Audigy 4 Pro @ 24/44.1 > minor editing and dithered to 16 Bits with Audacity > Tracked with CD Wav > Flac (level 8)

Notes:
This is a mono recording using an auto level setting recorder with an external microphone.
The crackling sounds are on the master cassette.
Tape Flip During “It’s All The Same” is missing a guitar solo into the start of the drum solo (we were asleep at the wheel).
I faded the break together but it is still an abrupt cut.
History on this show would be that Kevin Webber organized a field trip for the employees and customers of the Slipped Disc Record Store
(His record store in the suburbs of Los Angeles during the 70’s and 80’s).
A new friend (Allen Tarzwell) brought his handheld cassette recorder along.
Originally a present from his parents so he could tape lectures in college it was soon being used for much better purposes.
This was the first time I had ever been involved in an audience recording.
After the concert ended we went out to Allen’s van and listened to the whole show again right there.
I was hooked on concert recordings for life.
Anyhow that is the story of this recording and Allen is still my good friend 35 years later.
He has kindly loaned me his old tapes to make this and two other historic presentations of this wonderful band that we all miss.
