Traffic When The Eagle Flies(1974 LP, Island Records)
This is my first vinyl transfer, so I hope it turns out!
Equipment used:
Pioneer PL 112D II Turntable
Audio Technica AT95e cartridge
Yaqin MS-22B Tube Phono Preamp(stock tubes when I get some extra cash, I plan on upgrading to better tubes, but these dont seem to sound bad at all)
Transferred 2 track stereo at 24bit 96khz directly into Akai Professional DPS 24.
No processing done whatsoever(no eqing, no gain added, no de-clicking, ect.). Since there is no processing done to maintain the integrity of the purity of transfer, I have done no separation of tracks. So there are 2 Files(Side 1 and Side 2 of the record). There seems to be a debate as of late as to whether or not to separate the sides of record into multiple tracks for each song. If you would like, please feel free to provide some input as to what you think about this issue. THANKS!
When the Eagle Flies was the ninth and final album released by English rock band Traffic, in 1974, until their 1994 reunion Far From Home. The album featured Jim Capaldi on drums, keyboards and vocals; Rosko Gee on bass guitar; Steve Winwood on guitar, keyboards, and vocals; and Chris Wood on flute and saxophone. (Percussionist Rebop Kwaku Baah was fired prior to the album's completion, but his contributions are heard on two of its tracks.) When the Eagle Flies was the band's fourth consecutive studio album to reach the American Top Ten and have gold album status. Traffic toured to support the release, but they disbanded at the conclusion of the tour in 1974.
