This is something I've been wanting to put together for a long while, just for fun and personal use. I always enjoy a good compilation and create quite a few for myself when I find the time. This is a little different since it's basically my version of Jimi's last album, as opposed to what his family put out as "First Rays Of The New Rising Sun". It took me a while to do it, since I had to replace all my original copies of the LPs that I bought as they came out. I pretty well wore them out and subsequently disposed of them through the years, one way or another. Nobody really knows exactly what would have been on that last album, so I just used songs that I really like that are pretty well fleshed-out. In other words, close to being finished or at least sounding that way to me. After the first 3 posthumous LPs, they had pretty well scraped the barrel dry AFAIC, so that's all I used for my selections. It took a little time to find 3 decent "Sterling RL" pressings that I was happy with, but I finally did. There were some other good songs, but I tried to keep it to the equivalent of a double album with my favorites on it and as far as the sequencing goes, I could have gone about that in any mumber of ways. I won't go into detail about that. This order is OK, but I didn't obsess over it. Feel free to sequence them as you like and share with anyone you'd care to. I just put this here because I personally think it sounds really good and if you're a Hendrix fan you should give it a listen...
