MISC NOTES:
This was an incredible show. The four musicians originally got together 6 years ago to undertake the project of sorting through old, unreleased lyrics by Woody Guthrie and orchestrating music to accompany them. This concert is one of just eight that the quartet had scheduled to perform their songs. I couldn't be happier with my somewhat-whimsical decision to buy a ticket, attend, and record. The room was sold out weeks in advance and once people found out about show, demand went through the roof for aftermarket tickets on craigslist. I'm delighted to have been present at this show, and now, hopefully, you too will be able to enjoy this awesome music!
Bobby Bare Jr. opened the show, and though I tried to record it, something went wrong and I wasn't able to get it. I was blown away by his performance too, so I'll have a recording next time he comes through!
Will Johnson: Undertow Orchestra, Baboon, Monsters of Folk
Anders Parker: Varnaline, Space Needle
Jay Farrar: Uncle Tupelo, Son Volt
Yim Yames (AKA: Jim James): My Morning Jacket
