Notes

The Great Society – Conspicuous Only In Its Absence (Recorded Live at the Matrix-San Francisco)
Original 1968 US pressing (Columbia CS 9624)

Another oldie that was a little worn but came out nice...these are recordings from 1966 and are a real historical document. I bought this when it came out because, like most teenage boys, I had the hots for Gracie Slick (remember that Girl Scout uniform?)...the sound is really quite good for something of this nature and is definitely some early psychedelia. Anyway, thanks to this little band, Grace was discovered by the Airplane and the rest is history! If you're an Airplane fan and haven't heard this, you definitely need to give it a listen...
