My personal SMiLE mix. Five years in The making. The occasional bane of my long-suffering girlfriend's existence and my proudest musical achievement.
Completely in stereo (even if I did have to fake it occasionally), because if Brian Wilson had completed it with the Beach Boys, he would have mixed it in mono. And done a hell of a lot better than I did. Split into three main sections using the 2004 SMiLE's running order as a guide, but straying as far from that version's arrangements as my tiny brain would allow me. I have been enjoying fan mixes since I bought my first Vigotone SMiLE bootleg when I was in High School. Many thanks to the ones that came before (particularly MoK and PurpleChick) and best of luck to all that come after - I look forward to hearing them all. Please feel free to take what I've done here and change it, mess with it, make it your own and generally f#@k with the formula.
I completed this in 2007. My 11-year-old daughter did the cover art a couple of months ago, adding my PancakeRecords logo to the Smile Shop.
