Eric Burdon/Brian Auger Band - Access All Areas (Live) - 1993
1993 release from SPV, a double live album featuring 20 tracks recorded live at the Belly Up Tavern at Solana Beach in California, on May 10th, 1993. Includes many of Burdon's hits with War & the Animals, like 'Don't Bring Me Down', 'Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood', 'We Gotta Get Out Of This Place', 'When I Was Young', 'Sky Pilot', 'It's My Life', 'Spill The Wine' & 'House Of The Rising Sun', plus covers of The Doors' 'Roadhouse Blues', Willie Dixon's 'I Just Want To Make Love To You'.
Burdon's vocals are gutty, raw and funky as you can get. He's tremendous!! Brian flat gets down with some great solos. Fantastic guitar work. I rank it with Edgar Winter's Roadwork and Bob Seger's 'Live Bullit' albums for kick-butt energy and showmanship. Sure it's mainly old Animal songs but they were never performed like this before.
