In his latter career, Bird was a free agent, and bands were made of local musicians backing him up.
Surely Symphony Sid Torin was there, as he moved to Boston sometime in 1953, and continued to MC Charlie Parker radio broadcasts from there. However, his comments were edited out on an unknown date.
If you don't get moved by this version of "My Funny Valentine", then you have no soul! ;)
None of these songs are from the offical release, "Bird At The High Hat" on Blue Note. The dates used on that were from 1953-12-19 and 1954-01-24.
