Notes

The Amboy Dukes
1970-xx-xx* Detroit, Michigan unknown venue (M?-AUD REMASTER)
(*previously traded as 1969, see notes below*)

~*~ Carefully remastered fixing & lessening various issues, then speed corrected ~*~

01.[03:39]- Brain Games Of Yesteryear
02.[05:38]- Good Natured Emma
03.[06:45]- Mississippi Murderer
04.[18:54]- Prodigal Man//

Total Time ::: 34:56

::: Very fine stereo AUD with a few shits & giggles. Check samples for personal ingestion appeal or snortin' before mainlinin'.
::: Warts: Vocals sometimes a bit low (especially in #1 & parts of #4). Very erratic levels now mostly all fixed. In the 2nd half the right channel was oversaturated but 'tis now mostly compensated for. Split second glitch at ~1:10 in #2, plus 2 in #4 at ~2:45 & ~16:30. Some mike noises at start & near end of #3 (lowered but not totally repaired). Occasional mike noises in other spots, mostly lessened & not too problematic (mostly left channel). #4 cuts at the end.
::: *Previously traded as 1969, but almost certainly later based on announced line-up. More notes below.
::: Thanks to DIMERS roryglzep & nelsonm55.

Source ::: unknown equipment -> master tape (probably a reel) -> unknown generations -> unknown generation CD-R -> TLH -> FLAC Level 8 -> DIMED by roryglzep in 2011, then (presumably the same) source for this one DIMED by nelsonm55 last week.

Remastering ::: flacs -> Audacity [normalisation to remove DC offset, channel/phase alignment, fades, manual one-at-a-time glitch, bump, pop, click, dropout & dullspot repairs, volume adjustments, speed fixes _was too slow but became less so through the 35 minutes_ done with averaged single pass corrections - Tracks 1&2 +2.8% __ #3 +1.8% __ #4 +1.1% after spectral analysis & with pitchpipe verification, NO equalisation] -> CD Wave (track splits) -> flacs (Trader's Little Helper) -> yr ears. First uploaded week of 2014-12-06.

Line-up ::: Ted Nugent - electric guitar, vocals // Andy Solomon - keyboards, vocals // Greg Arama - electric bass // K.J. Knight - drums.

Nothing here ever commercially released to my knowledge. If I'm wrong, please advise & I'll take the offending trax offline.

DimeTravel 076 ::: Hats off (with many thanks!) to the original taper, traders who passed it along, roryglzep for DIMING and nelsonm55 for re-seeding. ::: Corrections welcome ::: Supposedly the earliest commonly circulating unissued live Amboy Dukes Recording. I'm guessing this was a reel master due to the way the speed changed but it could've happened later. Looking at the line-ups for the "Marriage On The Rocks/Rock Bottom" & "Survival Of The Fittest Live" albums, I would guess this NOT 1969 (as originally labeled) & is more likely a late 1970 or very early '71 recording (for one thing, Dave Palmer was in the group thru most of '70). Looking at the Wikipedia band listings & timelines, in which this line-up is NOT represented, this seems to be an inbetween, short-lived version of the group.I always liked this band - they musta shaken some rafters in their day. Cool version of "Prodigal Man", too bad the heavy acid guitar is just kickin' back in at 19 minutes when the recording cuts. Listen, enjoy, show appreciation, share, give, spread peace. Yers truly, Knees

Do whatever you want with it except sell it, 'cause that ain't cool!
