Notes:

This is a remaster of the bands first show at the Birmingham Odeon.

This is an excellent audience recording in it's raw state, it's taped very close to the stage, with a nice capture and balance of the instruments (picking up things that are usually buried like drum fills and bass), but it does suffer from a few issues.

For example, the raw tape sources volume was originally running a little too hot, while it did have a balance to it's instruments, vocals and guitar still dominated, and the whole show ran at the incorrect tape speed (originally running too slow).

So the goal of this project was to correct these issues in the raw recording.

What we've done to make this project:

- We've tried to balance the instruments as much as possible, and bring out things that were buried in the raw tape source (drum fills and low end).

- We've fixed the tape speed issues that plagued the raw tape source as best we could.

- We've brought the volume down to a more reasonable level, originally the raw tape source was running a little too hot, we just hope it's loud enough now for everyone.

In regards to the title:

The title comes from a lyric from the bands song "Rip This Joint", I am aware that it refers to Birmingham, Alabama and not Birmingham, England, but in a way, it does sort of make a connection because Birmingham in Alabama was named after the English city.

We originally thought about calling this project "English Blood Runs Hot", but I figured that it's probably been used already, and besides, the lyric from the song makes a direct connection to the place where the concert took place.

Hope everyone here will enjoy this.

Cheers
