My friend James had a spare ticket which I eagerly accepted after being too slack to make a booking.
The added bonus for me was Ed Kuepper who opened the show - that recording will follow shortly.

After giving up on fast bar service I took my seat for the very extended intro of tolling bells and audience chatter. It got me in the mood but some other punters were obviously impatient, especially as after walking on, the band took almost 6 minutes to get themselves in the zone before launching into the first song. What followed was better than anything I had hoped for. There are lengthy spaces and string plucking between songs. In that time we could have heard Foxhole or anything else from the back catalog! But I'm not complaining. We got Little Johnny Jewel and an amazing version of Psychotic Reaction which so seamlessly segued from Friction I couldn't make a track split.

This was a 2013 high for me and the recording is up there with my best. Teacher would give this an A for sure.
