This album replaces the old 10 inch George Jones album (10 CH 13) which was deleted from Ace's catalogue. They took the opportunity to add 3 previously unreleased songs - "Boogie Woogie Mexican Boy", "My Sweet Imogene" and "Don't Stop The Music" as well as a great previously unreleased version of "You Gotta Be My Baby". All of these tracks were recorded soon after George Jones, who had been a guitarist and vocalist in Arlie Duff's band, joined Starday Records in the early fifties.
