Most fans attempts to make a 'best of Teenage Fanclub' would run to at least 2 crammed CD-Rs (i know, i tried and failed), but this official collection does a pretty good job of introducing Scotland's finest. Albums are represented fairly - Bandwagonesque (3 tracks), Grand Prix (5), Songs From Northern Britain (4), Howdy! (3), Thirteen (2), Catholic Education (1) and space is made for 3 new songs, one apiece from Norman, Raymond and Gerry. Of these, Norman's stunning Did I Say wins out and was released on 7" as the album's only single. The truth is there's not one second among the 4,766 (the CD's running time) that I'd be without.

Norman Blake - Vocals, guitar
Gerard Love - Vocals, bass
Raymond McGinley - Vocals, guitar
Finlay Macdonald - Vocals, keyboard, guitar
