After I remixed the LA 5.9.74 show, I did wonder about remixing other shows, as the Gouster guy
prompted. I wasn't sure though...the former show was mixing desk recording, all the others
are audience recordings, from an age where most equipment used wasn't that high tech.

I did try in the last few months remixing the odd track from '74 shows as a 'tester', but didn't
feel the results were much of an improvement. Then I grabbed this show again (from MWP), having
noted before it's one of the better recordings. I noted the guitar was particulary strong and
clear on this recording, which seemed a good head start...part of the problem with the other
recordings I looked at (yes, including the Maloney ones) was that the sound while not bad
was generally not clear enough to make any particularly significant difference when attempting
to mix it.

I feel this is a significant improvement on this recording...some flaws are exposed, notably
some wow and flutter (speed wobble) during Cracked Actor, but overall it sounds pretty good
in my opinion - the sound is much fuller now, and it sounds great in headphones.

Hopefully you will like it too.

original description follows :

"Description: Decent sounding audience tape from the 1974 tour, I think one of the better ones
from '74 not including the Maloney recordings, et al. Bowie says "Good evening New York" as
an identifier during the intro to All The Young Dudes. This show is missing both Jean Genie
and Rock N'Roll Suicide, and has a few small cuts, most are between songs but are barely noticeable.
Watch That Man has a cut toward the end of the song. All in all a good show and a good performance."
