- One of the few surviving fragments of the Birdland All-Stars 23 show tour of Europe in November 1956. This recording suffers from Significant line hum and hiss, but is still a worthy recording featuring a lively performance by Miles Davis. The line hum exists both of two different sources obtained for this show.
- The Birdland All-Stars also featured the great Lester Young, who was enjoying a brief comeback after a hospital stay in November 1955. However, his health was still poor, reportedly due to liver disease and malnutrition, which would contribute to his passing away less than three years from the date of this show.
