THE BYRDS
RADIOHAUS
STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN
1967 FM RADIO

If you have never heard this, then you are in for treat. This is the original Byrds line up playing in studio and commenting on the songs on Swedish FM Radio. This is my original tape that I got from a trading partner in Sweden, way back when. The line up includes Jim McGuinn, David crosby, Gene Clark, Chris Hillman and Michael Clarke as they run through their best songs. Unfortunately the last song had to be cut due to it being an official release on some Byrds compliation (Roll Over Beethoven). If you had to cut something out this would be my choice anyway.

Before I go any further, I have to point out that Ken, from HITWITSTUFF2, made this possible. If you are not familiar with the whole Hitwitstuff2 MOOSETRACKS collection story, then hop on over to his page and read all about it. I responded to his queries and Ken and I hit it off. I ended up sending some of my original tapes for him to transfer to CD and for me to upload for your listening pleasure. Without him, none of this would be possible. He did about 10 shows for me to upload here over the next few weeks. These have been in my basement, gathering dust, for the last
33 years or so. What will be posted here, are my original tapes. So stay tuned. You will see some amazing stuff showing up here over the next little while.Back in the day, I was very active taping shows and trading around the country and over in Europe.

This is the Byrds at their finest. Jangling guitars, tight harmonies and bright, catchy tunes make this a fantastic show to have in your collection. There are a lot of Clarance White/Roger McGuinn Byrds tapes out there but this is the only one that i know of that boasts the original band. This is what made the radio worth listening to back in '67.

If you can improve this, then do so, and repost it. Share it freely and play it loud.
