Notes:

Not sure what the time line is between the disintegration of Max and the appearance of the Kim Mitchell Band (Max ends touring sometime in the spring of '81, KM EP is released sometime in '82 and Akimbo Alogo is released in '84.) This show takes place late '84 but I have no idea if this is the first tour for KMB. Anyone with information please chime in. Anyway - this is the audio portion of a Much Music broadcast, I didn't have a video recorder at the time so I just recorded the show through the stereo. Well preserved recording and while it's the complete broadcast, obviously the broadcast is not the full show - too bad.

Phase and level corrected, and retracked at Remasters Workshop 12-14-09.

Technical notes:

Phase correction restores the recording to its original condition, compensating for azimuth misalignment during tape transfer. Azimuth misalignment causes one channel to be brighter and the other duller. Phase correction eliminates this artifact, and restores the original EQ. The resulting recording has an improved stereo soundstage, more as it was intended, and is fully compatible with mono. Before correction, there would have been serious phase cancellations had the channels been combined.

Screenshots of the spectral phase view of one of the tracks before and after correction in Adobe Audition 3 are provided with the torrent.

Enjoy!
