His ex-wife Linda calls him 'fork-bendingly talented', and if you've seen him you
know what she means. There's almost something supernatural channeling through him
when he plays electric guitar. This show saw him opening for Emmilou Harris and Rodney
Crowell, but there were a lot of Richard Thompson fans there. The Strathmore is a beautiful,
tuned acoustic space which typically presents symphonic music and operas. Our seats for this
show were in the left orchestra about 18 rows back and 18 rows left of center.
We've done some editing to improve the balance, and attenuate some loud clapping between songs.
But the audience was very respectful of the performers and the recording is pretty much as
we heard it- gorgeous. Hope you enjoy it. We'll only be posting this in 24 bit.
