Recorded at Abbey Road on 7 August 1967. These tracks are taken
from stereo mixes done by Peter Jenner in 1974.
Lineage speculation:
Maybe the DOTPrevA version goes something like:
studio mixes (stereo) -> unknown gen cassette -> transfer to digital (likely 16/44.1, not higher and I think this person likes NR) -> HRV team -> Dawn of the Piper Rev A HRV-CDR-018
Maybe the fake acetate version goes something like:
studio mixes (stereo) -> unknown gen (but lower than DOTP) cassette -> transfer to digital (likely 16/44.1, not higher) -> fold down to mono (this is a different person now)-> transfer to vinyl -> transfer to digital (likely 16/44.1, not higher) -> mp3 -> wav
Then I put them both together and did a bunch of stuff.
Enjoy. Trade freely. This is unreleased material that a lot of fans would really like to pay for if it were released but is isn't. I bet the guy who made the fake acetate has a nice sounding stereo copy of this. He didn't trade freely. He's hoarding and selling bs. Don't be like him.
