These are vinyl 45 rips from the 70's that I've collected over the years. Some are from friends sent to me on
cd's (wav & flac). Some are from my own collection (mint). Some are downloaded from the net. (thanks to the original uploaders).
(In general, these are from wav files and hi-res files). Most of these are not currently on Demonoid.
In general, the rips are in excellent shape. I took them, hand de-clicked them, adjusted the volume, added the fade in and fade out,
and wah lah (voila), we have really nice-sounding singles. I used Adobe Audition 3. There is no other processing except minor EQ here
and there (less than 10% of the songs). I think they sound really good.
These are mono and stereo. That's how we heard them in the old days. That's how we heard them on Top-40 A.M. radio & FM. That's
how we heard them from the 45 records. And that's how they sound now. I A/B'd them with the same versions on cd, and most of
them sound the same or better. I guess the original vinyl 45's just had more bass, more fatness, more punch, more energy,
more something. Anyway, I like them and I think you'll like them too.
