After Wednesday Morning 3 AM flopped, Paul Simon returned to England for a second sojourn as a solo folk singer. In spring of 1965, the BBC eventually booked him for a series of one song performances on a show called "Five To Ten," which came on just before the soap opera and was part of the BBC's religious programming. A number of those performances have circulated; the version of "Bad News Feeling" is from those performances. Others include a solo Simon version of "Bleecker Street" and "I Wish You Could Be Here" (co-written with Bruce Woodley of The Seekers and recorded by The Cyrkle).
