Another tape from the Magnix Live Archive.

Personal note: I was supposed to see The Posies and Teenage Fanclub the next night at the Tivoli in Utrecht, but the gig was cancelled. Due to voice problems of Norman Blake, the night at the Paradiso already knew quite some problems for Teenage Fanclub's performance, with Gerard Love standing in, as well as Jon Auer of (opening act) The Posies. And these voice problems caused them to cancel the next night.
The DJ announces the Teenage Fanclub as being the support act for The Posies, which he switches the other way round during the outro. Both ain't really true, it was actually presented more like a double bill.
Furthermore, VPRO aired 7 more tracks from this show on February 8th 2003 (between 0:00 and 1:00 a.m.). During this broadcast the DJ mentions Gerard Love was ill ... this is incorrect. Anyway, it still sucks showing up at the venue, and hearing about the cancellation, it was a great double bill. However, in total I saw Teenage Fanclub three times, and saw The Posies a couple of months later at the Melkweg in Amsterdam.

Disclaimer.
Please note that this is a real FM capture, no cable, but straight from the airwaves. Also, in October 1996 this recording was dubbed from the master to another tape. So, this comes from a tape that was more than 12 years old at the time of transferring. This means that some FM and/or tape anomalies or degeneration may be present. Most has been fixed to the best of my abilities and most of this stuff is of very good quality.
