REMASTERED SOUNDBOARD RECORDING
This is a really great sounding show from what was a relatively flat SB tape.
Heres what made an amazing difference and one that makes this not only listenable everyday, but I tried to rival the production on the Still Life LP.
This tape has been EQ'd to bring out the bass a bit and make it feel natural. Then I found Charlie's Hi-Hat and gave it a sparkle. The guitars and vocals have all been brightened and given more space to move around in. I attenuated frequencies above 6000KhZ and below 550KhZ.
Finally a decay that pans right gives Ronnie's guiatr separation from Keith's guitar.
I think this sounds fabulous!
I was at this show so this was a labor of love.
I only used the soundboard tape which ends with All Down The Line and I fixed all bad edits and made transitions seemless.
I also did this to the LA 1981 SB tape and its equally amazing. That one needed abit more work and different settings.
Check out this torrent. You will love it. Please let me know what you think after you hear it. Even if you hate it. Either way this will get you listening to a great 1981 show again.
