Rolling Stones - We Were Falling In Love - WLP Mono Single.
Emidisc BON 15
Vinyl, 7", Single Sided, Test Pressing, 45 RPM
White label promo single (one sided, no less) of the song " We Were Falling In Love".
UK- semi-official one-sided EMI acetate repro 7" in picture sleeve, made in the UK in 2002 - very rare unreleased track, only available on this single - back cover says: " On the 29th of September 1964 Mick Jagger and Keith Richards entered the Regent Sound studios in London, and recorded 'We Were Falling In Love' along with 'I'm Relying On You'.
A handful of laquers were cut from the sessions which were intended for demo purposes only. 'We Were Falling In Love' was given to the manager of Mark Wynter who was a good friend of Oldham's, and it also seemed the sort of song that would suit Mark's style, although he never recorded it.
38 years later a Dutch record dealer purchased a large selection of records from a garage that was once owned by Mark Wynter. Amongst the pile of acetates, the one-sided laquer of 'We Were Falling In Love' was found. Virtually unplayed, mildew however was covering over half the playing surface. After careful cleaning it was digitally remastered onto DAT tape, and then cut onto what you are holding now. There is some surface noice, but the overall sound is loud and clear.
