Interesting tape. Like many tapes the sound quality varies throughout the recording.
I would say from very good to excellent. Like the Paris '77 show there is much use
of the pause button here. I have seen a few versions of this tape. This is the most complete version. About the sound and quality . . .

As mentioned the overall sound is quite nice . . for the first set Tepper's guitar
is very loud in the mix compared to Snyder's guitar. It is still quite listenable.
In fact, if anybody wanted to learn some guitar parts this first set would be a good
tool for just that !

On the second take of Nowaday's ( trk. 13 ) you will notice the level drop just a bit, with that the sound balances out. At this point Tepper is not dominating the mix.
Two songs later ( Hot Head ) the sound is even better and stays that way.

There is a tiny cut in the first take of Dirty Blue Gene. The second take of A Carrot Is As Close As A Rabbit Gets To A Diamond cuts in, missing several seconds. Lastly, there is a cut within the second take of Bat Chain Puller. I also think the first set might possibly be missing two songs ( Suction Prints & Big Eyed Beans ). I am not sure, but it does seem very likely based on all of the other shows from this tour. That about sums it up. The majority of this show is really great and a swell listen. Enjoy !
